On March 23, my parents arrived in Quito, Ecuador. Living with my Ecuadorian family here, they experienced what my home life has been like for the last couple of months. My brother Sebastian and I spent the week translating between our two sets of parents (encouraging them to use Google translate when our weary brains grew tired). The video says it all. My parents had the pleasure of meeting my family and friends and seeing my classes, internship site, and all of my favorite places around Ecuador. I have no words to express my gratitude to the Lord for allowing them to come and visit me! What a fruitful and sweet time it was to have them here. I miss them dearly. Laughs, joy, peace, and love marked our week here. I was so proud of my parents as they (despite the language barrier) addressed challenging but necessary topics of conversation (parenting, church involvement, etc.) here with my Ecuadorian family over dinner. I have missed them dearly since they have left. I love you guys, thank you for visiting me!
